Booking, Cancellation Terms and Legal Information

Alpine Conditions

Mountain huts are located in alpine environments. Weather conditions, official restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the operation of the hut, its accessibility, or the services provided at short notice. Our hut managers will make every effort to inform guests as soon as possible.

Booking Terms

Conclusion of the Accommodation Agreement

An accommodation agreement under Austrian law is concluded once the booking has been confirmed by the Austrian Tourist Club (ÖTK) or the respective hut manager.

Prices

The prices published at the time of booking apply. Unless otherwise stated, all prices include the applicable statutory VAT.

Deposit

The hut manager is entitled to request a reasonable deposit for reservations. Any deposit paid will be credited towards the agreed accommodation charges upon arrival.

Changes or Cancellation of a Booking

Guests may change or cancel their booking at any time via the booking portal. All changes and cancellations are automatically recorded and become effective upon receipt by the booking system.

Group Bookings

For group bookings of five or more guests, up to 20% of the reserved sleeping places may be cancelled free of charge until 9:00 p.m. on the day before arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation

Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to four days before the scheduled arrival date.

Cancellation from Three Days Before Arrival

If a booking is cancelled from three days before the scheduled arrival date, any deposit paid will be retained as liquidated damages. The relevant time is the receipt of the cancellation in the booking system.

No-Show

If a guest fails to arrive without prior cancellation, the hut manager may charge for the agreed accommodation services, taking into account any expenses saved.

Please note: An unannounced failure to arrive after an alpine tour may also trigger a search or mountain rescue operation. To avoid unnecessary rescue missions and costs, we kindly ask guests to notify us as early as possible via the booking portal if they are unable to arrive.

Exceptional Circumstances

If arrival is objectively impossible due to official road closures, access restrictions, or other unavoidable extraordinary circumstances, the booking may be cancelled free of charge upon presentation of appropriate evidence.
